Nice productive and fun place to work
Business Development & Sponsorship Manager (Former Employee) –  Johannesburg, Gauteng13 January 2016
Writing community newsletters, progress reports, logging supporter communications on the software, proof of magazine editorials and submitting supporter communications. Attending Senior Management Meetings and supporting officers with their work loads.

I learned donor retention, supporter services, human rights approaches, managing cross cultural teams and dealing with various and evolving partner organizations with different leadership and management styles.

Management improved in the area of agency management, donor contractual obligations and etiquette for different societies. Working in the context of a team with co-workers involves setting work schedules, agreeing on deadlines and offering support.

The hard part was having deliverables from teams that do not necessarily report to you. It is not so easy.

The most enjoyable part of the job was traveling all over the world to meet partners, colleagues, communities and supporters

HROD & L&D Team Business Administrator (Current Employee) –  Johannesburg, GP12 January 2015
Actionaid is a global federation committed to finding sustainable solutions to bring an end to poverty and injustice. We have more than 40 members and country programs worldwide. Actionaid focuses on women's rights , human rights, food rights , land rights and to transform the world in which our children grow up.

A typical day in the office is fun and productive with an excellent management team leading us all the way. My co-workers are friendly and helpful and always cheerful. The hardest part of the job is the instability due to continuous restructuring. The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing that you are working to make a difference in the world and help mankind.
