Employees Benefits Administrator (Former Employee) –  Johannesburg CBD25 September 2019
Gowth is there and you ger to interact with different employees. The restructuring that occurs even now and the really help a person to get to know the product as awhoke and not just the function that limits you from exploring the service itself.

Network Support Engineer (Current Employee) –  Johannesburg, South Africa4 September 2019
I have been working at Absa bank (Barclays Africa) for almost 5 years and I have lot learnt a lot and got an opportunity to work on lot of different technologies and vendors. The balance between job and life is the main issue. I end up working most of the evenings and weekends because no changes can be applied during the day.

Vice President (Current Employee) –  Johannesburg, Gauteng27 June 2019
Absa South Africa: the entire organisation is racist to the core. The colour of your skin plays a huge role in here. Managers get away with a lot and are not held accountable, especially when they are white. There obviously is no transformation, Neither are there
Pros
Nice offices
Cons
racism, bad culture, lack of transformation

Teller (Former Employee) –  Johannesburg30 January 2019
Office administrator for a Primary school,
A typical day at work would be very busy starting when you get to the office/school. Parents and learners will be waiting and you need to address them as soon as possible. Managing the office you need to make sure all employees are on time and at their desk ready for the days work when school doors open. We had a culture of working together as a team, helping each other when help is needed and assisting each other to the fullest, The most difficult part of the job is angry, complaining customers. To keep them calm and happy is not easy. The most enjoyable part of the job was when the children leave the school at the end of the primary school and they greet you and thank you for the time they could spend in the office.
