Authority and Policy Development
SAQA was established in terms of an act of parliament. It was in the forefront of introducing national qualifications framework. Key to that was an outcome-based education and training as well quality assurance systems that were spearheaded and implemented.
The company culture encouraged growth and development. Having started as a junior and grew into management was fulfilling for me. I have learned to manage teams well and the importance of sustaining the company mission and achieving its goals.
The hardest part of my work was the transition from a junior employee to management. Managing former colleagues was challenging and difficult at first.

Long office hours as well as work volume
