Working for Truworths has taught me a lot of things such as how a business operates and what is needed to be done to get maximum profits. Working in a small store helps me learn a lot more about customer service and how I can make their experience more appealing. It has helped me accumulate new skills that I can use in other working environments.
Learnt to have patience and how to handle people and how to communicate in a formal manner.. Learnt time management and learnt how to work in a team and good communication skills and learnt how to work under pressure and work on a deadline
For a start off for students it is a good job but there is no growth. If you are good at something they will have you do it without paying you.. With regards to security procedures, theft and so on. At times or rather most times management would indirectly force you to do something you not comfortable with then make you sign things to cover them or else you'll get a warning. I do not recommend working there unless it's a start of job for a student
I love working for the company and the fact that wen came a time stores where retrenching Truworths did not.
As for my interview it was smooth but a lil nerve reacking but all in all was a good interview
it is a day by day work and i have learned a lot , things like house keeping, banking, machandise and stock take. and the management is good and the workplace culture is very good and hardest part about the job is when you are given less hours to work for the whole week and the most ejoyable part is when you are writing couses set for promotions.
Here i further perfected my communication skills because your job is to ensure customers are satisfied and happy with your service and learning how to work together with your colleagues to ensure the environment in the store is pleasing to all customers
